Seedlings Aren't Planted Too Close

While I was writing this post (and by writing, I mean pen and paper), I realized I'll be alone for most of this semester. Imagine, it has been two weeks already at ngayon ko lang narealize ito. Andami talagang realizations na nangyayari pag nakaupo ako dito sa isa sa mga Coke huts sa labas ng canteen namin sa CSM. I'm used to being alone, but there really are times when you feel like having at least one friend to accompany you. Kahit na katabi lang, kahit walang usap-usap, okay na. But I think there is still a huge advantage. As what my friend told me,
"being alone gives you time to grow"
And as they say misery loves company, ayun na nga. My misery is accompanied by my terrible schedule that looked like this:

Andaming empty spaces which means, more time of being emo and doing nothing but to stare at the people around me. Bestfriends ko nanaman ang canteen at atrium. Swerte ko nalang if there's still a vacant slot in the Internet Kiosk so that I could bore myself with the Web. Naku, grabe siguro ang growth ko nito at the end of the semester.

Ting! May isang advantage pa pala akong naisip. I'll be able to finish my thesis outline in a swift. Andaming time, ang haba ng panahon, promise. At least, when I enroll in Bio 200 next semester, nagrerelax na lang siguro ako and I'll be waiting for my defense na lang. Sana nga...*crosses fingers*

I saw this video on Youtube. I don't know why the user named it as "Trailer" when it's supposed to be a production video. No offense meant, but, it's not a movie, so it shouldn't be a trailer of some sort. Anyway, this vid is about my hometown, Tagum City. And whoa! ang galing ng pagkagawa. Makes me proud. I like how the sound effects go together with the movements especially in the Musikahan part. Sana makahanap ako ng video effects like what's shown there. Ayan tuloy, na-miss ko nanaman ang Tagum T___T Anyway, enjoy the video!

Thought to Ponder

While I was waiting for a tricycle on the corner of the bakery in our area, I heard a baker's helper complain:

"Alam mo pare, nagsisisi ako. Sana umayos nalang ako nung nag-aaral pa ako. Sana hindi na lang ako nagbulakbol. Kung nag-aral lang ako ng mabuti, eh di sana hindi ako nagmamasa lang ng tinapay ngayon..."

a couple of seconds later, my world became silent. That hit me.

my one and only You.

"I take one step away...
...then I find myself coming back to You..."

Last night, I once again attended a Praise and Worship concert of my friend's prayer group called reGeneration. She didn't actually invite me to the event, but there were posters on the Freedom Wall of my school (which made me curious, too, because I didn't know that there is a reGeneration member from UP). Their theme for that night was "Discover your First Love". As usual, the reGeneration had a wonderful video production for an intro, but anyway, I'm not going to do a review here about the concert.

It's just that...I miss Him. I really do. Things like the concert I attended draws me closer to Him, and even though there are a lot problems boggling my mind right now, I could still feel serenity and happiness inside me, and I know for sure it's because of Him. I have always been thankful of Him for being my "best-est" friend.

Oh, by the way, they had a remake of the drama presented by another worship group where it shows how a person is drawn farther away from God through earthly "goods" and how that person came back again into His arms.

Sigh, that song by Lifehouse called Everything still makes me cry.

rants.

I don't know where to start. I just felt the urge to write tonight and I'm looking for the perfect intro, but I can't so we'll just let it flow.

I have been busy. Yes, my to-do list is out and about again. "Kelan ka pa ba `di naging busy, ha?", my friends would tell me and I would just laugh. Well, what can I do? Eh sa gusto nilang gawin ko sila eh. Referring to chores. :D

This is the bulk of my summer, I guess. Less parties, less nightouts, less trips, less everything. Again, what can I do? We don't have a helper, so I do most of the chores. I don't have money, so I work. And...I don't have anyone who could help me out with my "something" on May, so I'm completely hands-on with every little detail. Well, some of my friends offered help, but, I didn't accept them. Some details just might be overlooked and I hate it when things don't go my way...

One more thing...I desperately miss my hometown. This city that I live in now doesn't feel as warm and as welcoming as TC. My hometown is where I met the people who would give you the definition of friends. I just miss them. Every moment I look at our photos makes me want to go back through time...when my house would be filled with heaves of laughter during movie marathon afternoons...Friday nights spent driving out in the streets...or the time when we would head straight to the beach penniless. I miss them and I hate it.

And then I pinch myself back to reality, which, is the part that uhm, sucked. This is not who I used be. I've become someone else: more bizarre, less vulnerable. I shouldn't have known until someone slapped it straight to my face. I'm just going through a phase. I hope.

Ang gulo ng post ko ngayon noh? Yun na nga yung point. Magulo.

addiction.

It's 1:48 AM and I'm still not hitting the sack. I should be sleeping now, right? I'm tired but I'm stuck in front of the Pc. My lips are dry and pale already. Tsk tsk this is getting worse. I better stop.

back to the place where I belong

It's always a nice feeling to wake up to a beautiful sunrise, pack my things and go to the place I have loved for a lifetime. The only place where I feel very welcome, and even though it's a small city, it's big enough for me and my friends.

Yes, I'm going home. :)
